7 Tips to Master the Art of Conversational Hypnosis

A conversational hypnotist will have to hone his skills. Practice is the key to success. If you want someone in a trance, you will have to learn the ways through which you can create the trance. Creating a trance means that you can alter the state of mind. Not all of us have the power to do so. But a conversational hypnotist will have full control of the mind so that the subject agrees to do everything that is being asked from him.

The trance induction skill is to be refined and hones so that you can achieve a level of perfection. The skill is needed to send the subject into a hypnotic trance. Once you have full control of his or her mind, you can actually make him or her do whatever you like. There is a 4 stage protocol which can be followed to create a hypnotic trance. Before you out in him in trance, you will have to absorb his attention. Once you have his full attention, it will be easier for you to make him listen to your words.

You should talk in such a manner so that the subject is unable to shift his focus of attention from you. The second step is also important. It is known as the bypass of the critical factor. The conscious mind has a filter which is continuously working and helping us to analyze the information that we receive. If you are capable of bypassing the critical factor and take control of the conscious mind, your work will be easier. The subject will be in such a state of mind that he will not only accept, but agree to all your suggestions. He will agree to everything you say, but will never exert his own responses.

The third stage is known as the activation of an unconscious mind. As you induce the trance, you need an unconscious response from the subject. It can be signals or an emotion or any kind of reaction. There are signs and if you notice a blinking, or a change in the breathing, but the subject will be unconscious. If you cannot attain the level of unconsciousness, you can penetrate the mind. The fourth stage demands that the unconscious mind be taken to the desired result. After you can recognize the signals which are unconscious responses, you must take the mind for desired results. The results can be an idea, action or any thought process.

If you are direct in your approach, you will find that you will grab the attention of the subject. The second important thing that you should remember is to learn the ways through which you can move from the direct to the indirect. This is a skill which needs honing because as a conversational hypnotist you will have to be subtle while you make this move from direct to indirect without the knowing of the subject. In order to achieve best results, you need to practice a lot. You cannot be Houdini in one day. But you can definitely achieve a lot if you have the perseverance and patience.
